Get to know your teacher
I have spent most of my adult life teaching children, and I truly enjoy it. I believe that children learn best in a safe and gentle environment where they feel respected and supported. One of my greatest joys is watching children grow in confidence as they develop new skills and knowledge.
I was home schooled K-12 and then took many child development classes in college. I also spent time studying deaf culture and American Sign Language. I have worked in early child development centers, and I am currently the director of children’s ministry at VEFC church in Hemet. I am blessed enough to home school my two daughters, and I love every moment of it.
I’ve been writing music and playing guitar for nearly 20 years, and it continues to be a wonderful creative outlet. I designed these classes to blend music with core academics and emotional development. Children will also learn fun and important life skills during group activities.

All classes are designed to blend music, core academics, social/emotional, and life skills. Classes are intended to move at your child’s pace, while introducing new and exciting things to challenge them. All classes are carefully planned, but have room for child led learning opportunities.
A waiting room with toys is provided for parents and siblings.
Classes
Little Songbirds: Ages 3 & 4

Wednesdays, 10:30am-11:15am
Location: VEFC Hemet
Price: $22.00 for a single class
or $80.00 each month (4 to 5 classes)
In this fun and interactive class children will have the opportunity to learn and master TK skills, such as, letter sounds, shapes, counting, rhyming, patterns, and much more.
Children will also enjoy a time of show and tell, music and movement with various instruments, and group life skill activities (setting a table, folding laundry, making lemonade, etc.) We will also learn classroom etiquette and help develop social/emotional skills.
This class is the perfect opening to your child’s education, they will enjoy learning new and exciting things alongside their peers.
Wild Wrens: Ages 5 & 6

Wednesdays 11:30am-12:15pm
Location: VEFC Hemet
Price: $22.00 per class
or $80.00 each month (4 to 5 classes)
In this fun and engaging class children will have the opportunity to master all the skills learned in the Little Songbirds class as well as new and exciting things for Kindergarten and First Graders, such as, blending letter sounds, comparing numbers, creating maps, telling time, skip counting, writing poetry, and much more.
Children will also enjoy a time of a themed show and tell, music and movement with various instruments, and group life skill activities (making homemade granola bars, creating a budget, using sandpaper, etc.) We will also continue to learn classroom etiquette and help further develop social/emotional skills.
This class is perfect for kids who are homeschooled but want to experience a fun and interactive classroom setting.
